CKD (Chronic Kidney disease) has become the major health concern. Around 10% population of world is suffering from kidney diseases and 1 million people die every year. It has been found that every year approximately 1, 65,000 to 2,200,000 people have the End Stage Renal Diseases (ESRD). There are treatments like dialysis and kidney transplantation, still recovery of chronic kidney diseases is a major challenge.
Management of kidney diseases is not affordable for everyone and creates a great financial burden. So, Ayurveda has become the new ray of hope for kidney sufferers. Herbs have the healing properties which help to resolve various ailments. There are three dosha vata, pitta and kapha which are essential for a healthy body. Imbalance of any of three dosha results in ailments. Kidney diseases are known as "vrikka roga" in Ayurveda. Vitiation of vata dosha is responsible for the impairment of kidney functions. Whereas kapha dosha is responsible for the blockage of minor body channels known as srotas.
